Information and Programmes for Children Print E-mail

This section will offer a comprehensive library of information, activities and programs for children with normal communication, communication disorder or delay, and special needs.

  • Child Development - for children with normally developing speech, language and communication skills, there will be information, activites, games and programs to enhance these skills, and practical things parents can do every day to facilitate their childrens communication and learning. There will also be a comprehensive set of milestones to measure your child’s progress.
  • Disorders and Communication Delay - some children have a communication delay or a disorder that does not allow them to communicate effectively. This can very frustrating and have an impact on their learning and social interaction. icommunicate will endeavour to focus on all types of communication problems and find solutions through programs and strategies to help your child.
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder - the diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder appears to be increasing and many people have little or no knowledge about the condition.  There are many strategies and activities that can be used with autistic children to facilitate and improve communication and behaviour. Our Autism section will continue to grow as we build a library of resources that you can use with your child.
  • Children with Special Needs - our Special Needs section will focus on children that have more complex difficulties with many aspects of communication. We have an experienced team creating programmes and offering information in this area. icommunicate also has a specialist in Autism to offer advice and solutions for children on the autistic spectrum.
