Welcome to information about Ucommunicate, our online Speech, Language and Communication Therapy Forum. This page serves as a bit of a how to guide about the use of Ucommunicate, the Forum part of our website. We feel that the Forum is the heart and soul of this site as it offers the ability to really create an online community that can help each other. We encourage you to register and become a member as this will allow you to really participate in the forum, both asking and answering questions and making a difference to the lives of others. The extremely large field of Communication Disorders means that it is at times difficult to get information that relates specifically to you and your situation. Our Forum will hopefully serve as a platform to get quick help and advice from a mix of members, whether they be professionals, caregivers, or individuals that have experienced communication difficulties. Our team of professionals are on hand to answer questions, but we want to also encourage other members to share their experiences as this will allow for a personal touch from someone that has perhaps experienced what you are going through, and may also open up a channel for further communication. Who can use the forum. We have set the Forum up so that anyone can read what is there. All of the Forums are open to everyone, so that all of the information, tips and hints, and comments can be accessed by all, at any time. In order to post a question you must be a member of our icommunity. Registration is free, and does not take very long at all (1-2 minutes). Please consider becoming a member of our new icommunity. This online community has been created to share information, resources and ideas. It’s free, and very quick and easy to join. You will also get access to more resources and sections, such as the News and Media, Members, and Research Sections. We respect your privacy (see our privacy policy) and your information will remain entirely confidential and not be passed on to any other parties, under any circumstances. We are very serious about growing a secure and committed online community. We urge you to head over to the Forum now, and check out the Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q's) which will give you a through rundown of how the Forum works. |
