If the main forum is a little overwhelming for you, or you are interested in just a few specialised sections, you can easily minimise the subforums you are not interested in by clicking on the square box with the line in it on the very top right of each Forum heading. This will minimise all of the sub forum topics within that category, making navigating through the forum a little easier.
At any point you can use the links at the top of the forum page to navigate your way back.
